Dog Theaters: Know All About

Dog cinemas: know all about

Dog theaters are becoming a global trend. However, they still cannot be seen everywhere in the world. In them, the owners are responsible for the damage that their pet may cause, as well as for its hygiene.

Without a doubt, going to the movies is one of our favorite cultural activities. Couples, parents and children, friends, grandparents with their grandchildren… We can all be enchanted by a good movie.

But what to do with our pets when we go to see a movie? Today,  with the launch of dog theaters, we can also enjoy the seventh art with our best friends.

How did the first movie theaters for dogs come about?

The first movie theaters for dogs were launched in Mexico. At the moment, special projections are offered, with specific date and time .

This news had wide international repercussions on social networks and in the media.

In movie theaters for dogs, everything is designed to provide a safe and fun infrastructure for our barking friends.

First, 50% of the spaces are reserved to provide comfort for dogs and their owners. Furthermore, the air conditioning is kept at pleasant temperatures and the lights do not go out completely.

Another interesting measure to promote cinema for dogs is that  screenings  for pets  offer an offer: 2 tickets for the price of 1.

In other words, the owner can pay the same price as a traditional single ticket to enjoy the seventh art with his best friend.

Requirements to access dog theaters

To ensure the safety and well-being of dogs and their owners, pet friendly projections have some requirements. Here are the  rules to follow to enjoy this entertainment:

  • Updated vaccination and deworming booklet: all dogs must have their vaccinations and antiparasitic treatments up to date to enter movie theaters. Furthermore, it is important to highlight that these are the fundamental pillars of proper preventive medicine for our pets.
  • Collar and leash in good condition:  canine spectators must be on a leash. Furthermore, these elements must be in good condition to enter the projections.
  • Adult supervision: Dogs can only access pet-friendly movie theaters   accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age. The owner will be responsible for controlling their pet’s behavior and ensuring their well-being during the movie.
  • Hygiene and health: in  addition to taking care of the dogs’ hygienic conditions, each owner must respect the basic rules of public health. There is no hygiene manual in cinema, but common sense is used to preserve the facilities and the health of the spectators.
  • Civil liability for damages to third parties:  the owners are solely responsible for possible physical or material damage caused by their dogs. In other words, the establishment is not liable for injuries or economic damages to other human or canine spectators.
  • Evacuation on the street only:  movie theaters for dogs do not have a space where they can do their bit. Their owners should take them to the street if they need to take care of their physiological needs or take care of cleaning up waste made in the wrong places.
