The Peterbald cat – in Portuguese, literally, Pedro Careca – has its origins in Russia, more specifically in the mythical San Petersburgo, the second most populous city in the country.

As she was looking for faster ways, she crossed Siamese, Oriental and Don Sphynx, now known as Donskoy. Thus were born the first cats of this very particular breed, which was soon recognized by the main feline associations and gained followers around the world.

This elegant domestic feline can be absolutely naked or have a very fine, inconspicuous fur, from one to five millimeters. There are also specimens with hairs that exceed five millimeters.
